Lighting the Way for Pittsburg’s Waterfront Transformation
The Pittsburg Marina and Central Harbor Park are undergoing a once-in-a-generation upgrade. Together with NTK Construction, we’re supporting the city’s vision through infrastructure improvements that include:
- New docks and berths — Increasing marina capacity and access.
- Expanded restrooms, parking, and green space — Creating a more welcoming experience for visitors and families.
- Shoreline stabilization and ADA pathways — Enhancing resilience and accessibility for all.
- Modernized event facilities — Encouraging year-round gatherings and civic pride.
It’s a comprehensive effort that blends safety, functionality, and community impact. And our electrical expertise ensures each improvement is powered to last.
Our Role in the Transformation
Within this broader $19M initiative, Con J. Franke Electric delivered a 260-day project valued at $298,970 to provide the site power and lighting systems that form the backbone of the upgrades. Working in close partnership with NTK Construction, our 10-person team — from estimators and admin staff to field crews — ensured the work stayed on time, on budget, and aligned with the city’s goals.
Our scope of work included:
- Expanded electrical services to new restrooms, the fish cleaning station, and the Pittsburg Police Substation.
- New lighting for revitalized ADA pathways and shade structures.
- Electrical and communication infrastructure to support special events.
- New electrical infrastructure for future vehicle gates.
By integrating these systems seamlessly into NTK Construction’s upgrades, we helped ensure that every improvement from docks to green space is reliable, resilient, and ready for the community.
